Always be...

This layout i have had in my head since this kit arrived as i just loved the ephemera pieces and knew i wanted to make a page around them. Then i had to make a layout for Practical Scrappers using punches so i thought hey why not combine the two. Another good thing about this layout is that is made completely by scraps of papers left from the kit. I just punched them and stuck them round the edges. I then wanted something to mat the picture and as i had had a conversation with my LSS owner about white embossing on Kraft i thought i would give this a go too. I'm not kidding when i say it came together in less than 30 minutes and i really LOVE how it turned out, just as i had it in my head weeks ago when i first opened that box of goodies. This is a close up picture of Lucy while in Mexico last year, isn't she beautiful.

AWOL

Sorry i haven't been around my blog the past few days, as most of you know Gary works off shore so i have been spending heaps of time with him while he home. I do have a ton of layouts to share that i worked on over the past couple of weeks, i just need to spend a couple of hours scheduling some posts, i will do that this week at some point while Gary away at college.

I have also been working on the mini i am doing for a class over at Something Splendid and let me tell you its CUTE honestly go check the classes out, Liz is just awesome and so talented. I will post the pictures of this as soon as i get them completed

Another class i have been doing is one by Ali Edwards called Scrapbook on the road this is a fabulous class and one im very excited about , i plan on making 3 of the albums to take with me to Disney next month , so i have been busy starting on these and i plan to work at them over at a friends house ( she is a SU demo and holds a few crops during the week) i will post pictures of this once i get the bases made. While doing this i am also getting to finish up 2 kits so thats good huh!!

Ontop of this i am doing a sketch class over at Big picture scrapbooking, though im way behind on this, im not to bothered though as it is self paced and i know i can catch up once i have my albums out of the way, for me im concentrating on getting my albums done as we leave in 4 weeks, and i dont want to be leaving it until the last minute, so albums first then layouts later

Ok im off to work on this album then make tea Pin It Now!

Heat Embossing tool for sale

hello my friends, last month i bought a heat tool from Studio Calico and i never thought about the whole different country thing, anyway it is American and i cant convert it in New Zealand so i have to sell it. It has not been used but it was opened as i went to plug it in to use it then realized it was a different voltage to us. Any way it cost me $25 and i would be willing to cover postage costs, please send me an email at cazjustcaz09@vodafone.co.nz if you are interested

Remember only people in America can use this

You and Me having tea at Minnies house

This layout was made for today's theme over at Practical Scrappers which is 'mums and kids' and what better time to spend with my beautiful girl than having tea at Minnie's house. How cute is this picture, Lucy had an absolute ball while in Minnie Mouses house, i think we visited it twice in 3 days which is not bad. This is made using day 10 of Sketchbook 3 class, I am just loving how my layouts are turning out with this class, so much so that after it is done i will go back and use the other variations but for now 1 is enough.

Huge Minnie Hugs

Here is another layout using the sketchbook 3 class i have been doing this one is from day 11. I love this picture of Lucy meeting Minnie Mouse, her idol, and of course you can see that Lucy had on a  Minnie dress too awwwwwwwww cute. Everyone that worked there commented on it and Minnie kept coming over and hugging Lucy, she must have at least 20 pictures with her. This one was taking when we had breakfast with Minnie Mouse and friends and what a time we had, the 3 of us were awestruck and didn't really eat much, though what we did eat was mmmmmmmmm and we will definitely be going there a couple of time in June this year.

2 Years of scrapbooking today

WOW i cannot believe that it is 2 years that i have been scrap booking and boy have i grown as a scrap booker in that time. My style has changed so much in the past 2 years that i don't even recognise my old LO's lol in fact i have started doing Lucy's baby ones again as i HATE them. Also somewhere down the road i have became an 8.5 by 11 scrapper rather than a 12x12, no joke i really struggle filling a 12x12 now whereas the smaller size feels perfect. Well im sure most of you remember this challenge i set to celebrate my 2nd anniversary well i am giving another 24 hours for my friends across the world as they are over a day behind in some places. Now you have to link to the post to be in to win that fabulous page map book. So i took part in this challenge and i killed off my Noel Mignon Sun kissed kit by making a mini album of our holiday in Mexico ( i have killed a few more kits too since then but this one was for the challenge)

Meeting the Goofster

Here's is another picture from Disney that we took last year (or some random stranger did should i say) We chased Goofy around the park for ages trying to get a picture taken and finally on our last morning we managed to get him in the one spot phewwwwwwww as we all love the goof in this house. This was done using day 7 of Sketchbook 3 though it was more a lift of Gillian Nelsons take on it as i just LOVED it so much.

Lucky I found You

Here is the layout i made for the last class at Kelly Purkeys Sketchbook 3 this one is day 12 and I'm sad that it is over as i really liked the sketches. I had wanted to use these words as soon as i saw them in the Cosmo Cricket Chipboard pack, and i decided to do it on this one, I am so lucky to have found my husband as he is truly the best, he gives me everything i ever want and he works his backside of for our family, we certainly wouldn't be having 5 star holidays to Mexico if it wasn't for him, i would never have been living on the other side of the world so for that i am truly grateful.

LA here we come

This is yet another picture of our trip last year using yet another one of the Sketchbook3 classes this one being day 9. When i saw the circles i kind of went ohhh nooooooo and only because I'm far too lazy to get my amazing Cricut down and use it lol, so i thought i would sew a circle instead, i just used a circle cutter thingy from fiskars and pierced round it then got to work with some embroidery thread. I then just used some border stickers to base the picture and scattered some buttons around for the smaller circles on the sketch. I love this picture i took of Lucy while driving to Auckland airport, she was singing away and just so excited to be getting back to Disney land. She is so very lucky as next month she will be heading to Disney Land for the 3rd time and she is only 4, i didn't even go abroad until i was like 11 and went on a plane when i was 19, Lucy has flown almost 30 times already and she loves it.

p.s i love the pack of Crate Paper buttons they are so cute and my favourite button is the one on the lower right, it is too cute.
p.p.s I finally got to use my favourite stamp set from Studio Calico , the wee plane is so cute and the words are awesome i love the destination.

Meeting Minnie

Here is a layout i made using day 6 of KP Sketchbook 3 class. The sketch was looking for a grid like photo but i had been dying to use this fabulous postage stamp punch, so thought i would use lots of them instead of lots of pictures. The layout took a while to come together but i am so happy with it.

Merry Go Round

One of the challenges over at Noel Mignon is to use your stamps, this is something i hated doing but have now found a love for them and use them in most of my layouts when they are needed, sometimes they just finish off a layout and just give them that something it is needed.

In Noels kits she ALWAYS adds an awesome stamp and normally an ink pad or something similar, so really there is no excuse not to use a stamp is there?

For this challenge i didn't use a Noel kit and the reason for that is i only have one kit out at a time as i like to use my kits up before moving on to the next, that said in recent months i haven't done this due to other reasons. So i am on a mission to use up all my past half used kits before i dig into Noels fabulous new ones. So right now i am trying to use up the final last 3 Studio Calico kits that i still have so i can then just concentrate on my beautiful Noel Mignon kits

I used day 5 of KP sketchbook 3 Class for this layout

Mexico Nights 2010

Well here is day 4 of Kelly Purkeys sketchbook 3 class. I decided to make a 2 page layout from the sketch and i so wish i hadn't OMG this layout took me days well not really but you know i had it sitting out in my scraproom and i kept going back to it as i just was not happy with it whatsoever grrrrrrrrrrr it was frustrating to say the least. It was just missing something, so i ended up adding the doodled border, the mist splatter, the brads/buttons, the memory chipboard and the tape and i think it is done phewwwwwwwwwwww

Sisters of the Heart

Here is another lift, i just LOVED this layout when i saw it, it is sooo stunning. This one was by Punkybear who is a member over at Studio Calico. This is a picture i took one night while our friends were round for tea, the older girl is also Lucys babysitter and she just adores these girls, they really are like sisters, and i just love that the other 2 treat lucy like their baby sister. anyway i just think this picture captures the love they have for one another.

Practice makes perfect

Here is a layout i made a few weeks ago for a challenge over at Noel Mignon we were asked to make a layout using her newest or last kit, i chose the last one as the new one hadn't arrived in NZ yet. It was so easy to make this layout as the kits is just awesome and everything just works so fabulous together. In case you haven't notice i do Love Noel. I also got out my Sew easy to try and OMG i could not stay in a straight line haha but hey it still looks good i think for a first effort. These are pictures of Lucy waiting to get into her costume for her dance show last December, she did hand stands for like an hour, she is getting so good at them.

A time for changes

Here is a layout i made to document the changes i went through this January, its a nice simple layout and took like 30 minutes to do. How funny that I'm just sharing this now seeing as i no longer have this job, but i thought i would still share it .. Most of my friends know the reason why i left Ray White and for you ladies that don't well lets just say when you are warned about certain people, listen to why people are telling you things, there are a lot of dodgy people out their and i learnt that the hard way.
