So pretty

Here is the 2nd layout I did for the NSD challenges over at Citrus Twist kits, This one we were asked to use circles to join our page together. This challenge was perfect for me as I had traded this wooden veneer piece with a lady over at Two peas and it has been sitting on my desk since, so I made sure I used it here.

I have to say I love the end result and even though there was a lot of cutting and gluing it looks simple and clean. I am so glad I used this wood too.

So in my real life I started a design course and I have to tell you it is challenging!!! I am loving it though and it is very interesting to be working on. I just need to be strict with study times when Lucy at school so that I can work through it and then scrapping can be my treat once she in bed at night. I am working on my first assessment this week and plan to have it mailed off by the end of the week at the latest.

Another thing I am doing is decorating our house, we have had a red wall in our living area since we moved in and I hate it!! I always wanted a red room so it was what I went with but I am over it now. So while Gary off shore I am painting it, and hoping it will be a nice surprise for him when he gets home. It has been hard work though, I have done 3 coats of primer to get rid of the red and as soon as my first assessment is sent off I will start on the new colour, I am going to use the same Sea foam we have in our family room as it is so bright, fresh and clean looking. I will share pictures once I get that done :)

  1. Love this layout! I've been saving, OK, hoarding, that wood piece and I just wasn't sure what to so with it. Love your take on it and will definitely be using it as a jumping off point.
